Magna Learning Partnership Consultation Documents
Over the last 18 months the governors and SLT have been looking at the long term future of the school and how we will ensure that our school continues to be a great school, providing quality education for all of our pupils. With this in mind we have, through regular strategy meetings, discussed the potential of joining an academy. These discussions focussed on initially the pros and cons of joining an academy but more importantly ensuring that we joined the correct one for our school.
Therefore, following a long consultation period, we are informing you of a resolution taken by the governing body of The New Forest School on 7th October 2019, which was to actively explore the possibility of becoming an academy and transferring to Magna Learning Partnership, a local Multi Academy Trust in Salisbury and the surrounding area.
Currently Magna Learning Partnership comprises four secondary schools; Sarum Academy, St Edmund’s Girls’ School, The Trafalgar School and Wyvern College, one primary school; Bemerton St John and one sixth form college; Salisbury 6th Form College.
We are choosing to explore this option as a positive way forward for our school which will enable us to continue to improve the opportunities we provide for your children.
Here are a number of documents and presentations that will keep you informed of the process.
